Collection Narrative & Development
Collection Narrative & Development explores how archival imagery, original artwork, color systems, print design, and silhouette development are translated into cohesive lifestyle collections. Rooted in emotional storytelling and textile-driven design, each project is approached as a complete world where concept, materiality, and product exist in dialogue with one another.
Concept & World Building
4/13/73 began with a found wedding photograph from April 13, 1973, which was later reinterpreted through original artwork, palette development, and textile exploration. Drawing from coordinated occasion dressing, 1970s bridal imagery, and domestic nostalgia, the collection investigates how memory and historical reference can evolve into a contemporary lifestyle narrative.
2. Collection Development
The collection translates archival inspiration into coordinated apparel stories spanning occasion dressing, loungewear, activewear, and lifestyle product. Silhouettes were developed to balance softness, nostalgia, and wearability while maintaining cohesion through shared print systems, palette relationships, and styling narratives.
3. Digital Development & Visualization
2D development and 3D digital visualization were used throughout the collection process to refine silhouette, proportion, material relationships, and print placement prior to physical execution.
